First Thursday (October 2026)

An evening for the artists, independent shopkeepers, musicians, makers and assorted dreamers who keep Cherokee Street the street it is. On the first Thursday of every month they stay open late and the whole stretch turns into one long open house.

Galleries and artist studios with their doors open, shops trading into the evening, exhibitions, food and drink, and music wherever somebody has set up to play. Everything sits within a few blocks, so it is done on foot and at whatever pace suits.

Nothing to book and nothing to pay. Turn up, start anywhere, and follow whatever looks interesting.
