Salon and Gallery

The salon at 2309 Cherokee Street trades as Drew Henry Salon & Gallery, and it does two things at once, as its name suggests: hairdressing and exhibition space.

That combination is more common on Cherokee Street than it would be almost anywhere else. This is a street with a long-established arts community, and a good many of its businesses hang work on their walls as a matter of course – which gives artists somewhere to show outside the formal gallery circuit and gives customers something to look at.

The salon stands at the western end of Cherokee Antique Row, among the antique dealers and vintage shops, on the same block as several of the street’s other independent businesses.

Our listing here is thin, and we would rather say so than pad it. If you run the salon, or know it well, we would be glad of a fuller description – the link at the side of this page reaches us.
